The Kingdom of God and of ChristFollowing are the three broad pillars of primitive or pre-Nicene Christianity: Foundations of Unity (born of the Word of God or sound doctrine), Messiah and His Mission (the Gospel of the Kingdom), and Growing in Messiah (conformity to His likeness); These three broad categories, I believe entail our King’s commission to the Apostles namely, commanding them to teach and to observe all that He has commanded, being faithful stewards and servants until He returns. (cf. Mt 24:14) |
Unity of the Faith
The Faith (Children of the Kingdom)
No other foundation can any man lay than that which has been laid; namely Jesus Christ. The WORD of God is our foundation for all matters of doctrine and practice. How we walk is based solely on the scriptures, the teachings of the apostles and prophets, the Lord Jesus Himself, and the Spirit of Truth who also bears witness with the Word of TRUTH. (cf. Eph. 2:19-20; 4:1-16; Jn. 7:16-17; Mt. 24:14; Jn 17:21)
Messiah and His Mission
Our Focus (Kingdom Ambassadors)
The mission of the Messiah (the Gospel of the Kingdom) rests in His identity (Christ Jesus IS our great God and Savior and our righteous sovereign or King) and His mission is intrinsic to His message (King Messiah came to proclaim this Gospel of the Kingdom). We who are His, become His hands, His feet, and His voice in this world. We become strangers and pilgrims in this world; for we have new citizenship. Our new identity is WITH the redeemed; the blood bought and washed. That is, in being redeemed, we are now in Him and of His body, actively engaged in His redemptive mission – the proclamation and demonstration of the gospel of the kingdom of God and Christ. (cf. Acts 8:4-24)
Growing in Christ
My Fruitfulness (Abiding in Christ)
We are to continue in Him and grow into the likeness of Him who called us unto glory and virtue. We would love to help assist you in anyway we can to be established in a community and fellowship of believers that you may be discipled and strengthened in the body of Christ. Contrary to the paradigm of the sages, discipleship is in the doing and not the classroom. We must walk together after Him who called us to glory and virtue in order to realize the good works that He has before ordained that we should walk in; that is, we must be in the covenant and commandment keeping community of the faith in order to be discipled and disciple others. All those who have/are being redeemed and abiding in Christ SHALL bear fruit. Those who do not will be cut off and cast into the fire. With these sober words we speak and bearing fruit we rejoice and are assured that He will perfect that which concerns us until that day when we behold Him face to face. Amen! (cf. Mt. 7:15-23; Jn 14:23-24; Jn 15:6)
